Construction is underway on a 348,000 sq. ft outlet center in Oklahoma City. The new 65-acre development, to be known as The Outlet Shoppes At Oklahoma City, is scheduled to open in August 2011 with a wide variety of well known designer outlets, including Nike, Saks Fifth Avenue OFF 5TH, Brooks Brothers, Guess, Coach, Chico's, Banana Republic, Gap, Tommy Hilfiger, Under Armour, Levi's and Carters. It is expected that over 30,000 sq ft of additional store names will be announced in the near future. See full list of retailers to-date below.

Situated at the intersection of Interstate 40 and Council Road, the location has over 112,000 cars that pass by the site daily. The center is expected to draw over six million visitors a year from a three state area and travelers on the Interstates 35, 40 and 44.

Built in a shopper-friendly racetrack design, the center will have covered walkways to maximize comfort and convenience for patrons. It will have landscaped courtyards, vibrant architectural features and a fun and lively setting throughout. The center will feature a large food court, children's play area, center court stage with fountains and other amenities to encourage shoppers to fully enjoy the different retail and entertainment choices. The site has land available for an additional 60,000 sq. ft of outlet shops, restaurant and out lot users.

Site preparation will take place over the next few months with structural work beging later this summer. When completed, it is expected to create 1000 retail jobs. The center will generate more than $100 million in annual sales providing at least $4 million of new local sales tax revenue for the City.
