Employment Opportunities:

Executive Assistant to the President/CEO - The Executive Assistant to the President/CEO provides support and assistance to the President/CEO in the daily operations of the organization.  This position also provides support to the Chairman, Executive Committee and Board of Directors of the Chamber.

Qualified candidates must have the following: 

  • Competent, highly motivated self-starter with excellent interpersonal skills with strict attention to detail.
  • Able to maintain strictest confidentiality.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, be detail oriented and be able to work on several projects simultaneously.
  • High level computer skills including advanced experience utilizing Word, Excel, Access (or similar database management) PowerPoint and MS Outlook. Typing 60-75 words per minute with accuracy.
  • Minimum of five years office experience in team environment reporting to top executive.
  • College degree in business administration or related field preferred. 

Executive Assistant for Membership Division - The Executive Assistant for the Membership Division is responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and management of the Chamber's database, the coordinator of meetings and events hosted by the Membership Division, the scheduling of Ribbon Cuttings and Grand Openings, and for providing scheduling and other administrative support to the Vice President and the Division.

Qualified candidates must have the following: 

  • Database proficiency and advanced computer skills are required.
  • Position requires a professional demeanor and orientation toward customer service with exceptional relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent project management skills; detail-oriented and able to work on several projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work effectively with people of all backgrounds.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.

Convention Sales Manager - Convention Sales Managers will work as a part of a team to identify prospective leads and prepare bid proposals and plan effective sales approach for groups interested in meetings, conventions and trade shows in Oklahoma City.

Qualified candidates must have the following:

  • Degree in marketing, public relations, business or meeting destination management preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in group sales. Prior CVB experience is preferred.
  • Skills in account management, direct sales, sales presentations (oral and written) and trade show exhibiting required.
  • Experience with DMO software a plus.
  • Strong written / verbal communication skills.
  • Self –starter with ability to set and achieve sales goals.
  • Be able to work as a part of a team.
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
  • Must be willing able to travel independently as necessary. Extensive travel may be required. 

Communications Assistant - The Communications Assistant serves as the lead receptionist, answering incoming calls for the Greater Oklahoma City Chamber, routing the calls to the appropriate department or person, or providing the requested information, as necessary. Supports the divisions with event registration, invoicing, mailings, and database support.

Qualified candidates must have the following:

  • Professional, diplomatic demeanor and exceptional relationship-building skills.
  • Customer service oriented.
  • Ability to remain calm under periods of stress/pressure.
  • Ability to effectively work on multiple projects simultaneously and with a wide variety of people. 
  • Database proficiency and excellent skills with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Position requires ability to lift and carry 25-35 pounds and may require standing for extended periods of time. 
  • Must be willing and able to travel independently as required.  Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license are required.

Communications and Print Production Assistant - This position is responsible for performing administrative duties supporting the Senior Vice President of Marketing and Communications and other division personnel.  This position is also responsible for in-house production and coordination.

Qualified candidates must have the following: 

  • Ability to process paperwork, including invoices for payment and reports to support division documentation.
  • Advanced understanding of design concepts and presentation approaches for communication media such as print.
  • Ability to do basic layout design and specify material details.
  • Knowledge of computer aided design and publishing software.
  • Position requires extended periods of sitting in an office environment while utilizing a computer.  May require extended periods of standing.
  • Position sometimes requires the ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
  • Position requires the use of cutting machines.   Good hand and eye coordination is a must.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred. Associate degree accepted with additional work experience.

Graphic Designer - The Graphic Designer is responsible for the design, creative direction and production of publications, printed materials, promotional/specialty items, display graphics, presentations, videos, and interactive communications to support Greater Oklahoma City Chamber and Oklahoma City Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) communications and marketing efforts. This position serves as one of two Graphic Designers to manage the Chamber’s creative assets.

Qualified candidates must have the following: 

  • Advanced understanding of design concepts and presentation approaches for communication media such as print.
  • Ability to do advanced layout design and specify material details.
  • Advanced knowledge of computer aided design and publishing software, including Adobe CC.
  • Critical communication skills to explain and/or understand design concepts to see project from beginning to end.
  • Position requires extended periods of time in a stationary position and long hours of detailed computer work.
  • Some independent travel is required.  Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license are necessary.
  • Two years’ experience with advanced design and desktop publishing skills (in a PC environment preferred).
  • College degree with emphasis in communications/graphic design is preferred.
